VEGAN ON LAS VEGAS : 10 MUST TRY VEGAN FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS

Every year, about 32 million people visit the city of Las Vegas. As the Las Vegas Strip keeps growing, so does our vegan food scene. I’m from the Herbivore Paradise Team, your guide to vegan food and travel, and I’m going to show you 10 places you can eat vegan food on the Las Vegas Strip. Let’s go!

Brunch at The Wynn: Terrace Point Cafe

First stop, I had to check out some epic vegan brunch. Okay guys, I have made it to the Wynn Hotel here on the Strip. Something you need to know is that the Wynn is the most vegan-friendly hotel option here on the Strip; every restaurant you go to has a vegan option. So I’m here at Terrace Point Cafe because they have vegan chicken and waffles. They also have vegan huevos rancheros, and they have some vegan options as their breakfast sides. Also, if you’re feeling extra hungry, they have a buffet with a lot of vegan options that are clearly marked as well, so that’s something to know.

All right, so like I mentioned, I got the vegan chicken and waffles. They use a Gardein patty and they stack these homemade waffles super extra. They give you two different kinds of maple syrup, a regular and a spicy, and vegan butter of course. So I’m ready to give this a try. I’m gonna put some vegan butter on this—I already drizzled some of the maple syrup on here, but you know I can always do a little more. Let me just… gotta do it for the gram. All right, let’s try this. So something to know when you come to Vegas is that the prices are, you know, Vegas prices. You’re paying for a resort experience. This dish is $22 before tax and tip, so make sure you come ready to spend. All right, cheers. This is like a scallion waffle—oh my gosh, the chicken patty, I’m impressed. Like honestly, it’s super juicy, has like that moist white chicken meat feel. I am loving the spicy maple syrup; I highly recommend it. It’s not super spicy, it’s almost like a sriracha kind of heat to the syrup. I would say this is a solid breakfast option. They also have lunch and dinner as well, but come for the breakfast. The ambiance is really nice; honestly, you cannot go wrong.

Massive Nachos at Nacho Daddy

If you make your way down to the other end of the Strip, you’ll find Nacho Daddy for an epic vegan nacho experience. Okay, so another place that you can check out is Nacho Daddy in the Planet Hollywood Hotel for massive vegan nachos. They have a full vegan menu, but they’re kind of known for their nachos, so obviously get it to share—or you can get it for yourself when you’re starving. But this comes with vegan chicken and mushrooms and the grilled peppers and their house-made vegan queso. So let’s give this a try. I want a fully loaded chip. Oh my goodness. All right, cheers. This is definitely comfort food. The vegan chicken is really good and I like that they make their own house-made queso, so definitely come check this place out. But wait, you can’t leave without having some of their epic vegan chocolate cake because trust me, you’ll love it.

The Vegan Tasting Menu at Hell’s Kitchen

Next, I had to check out the famous Hell’s Kitchen restaurant for their new vegan tasting experience. So now I’m at the famous Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen. If you grew up watching the show or you currently still watch Hell’s Kitchen and you’re a fan like me—I freaking loved watching this show—this is like a must-go-to, especially now since he has a vegan tasting menu. It gets packed so make sure you make a reservation if you can. You’ll see TV screens playing the show so that’s kind of fun. He has his famous scallops made out of tofu, risotto because you know you always have to get the risotto correct, and then I also got instead of eggs in purgatory, it’s beans in purgatory and they make their own cashew cream cheese and it looks really good.

So let’s get to this. I am going to start with the scallops because this is beautiful and it’s calling my name. Chef Gordon Ramsay, let’s see if you can impress. I love this like creamy cream sauce that they serve on top of the tofu. I feel like it can be seasoned a little more. The presentation is nice, but like you and I, we’ve all gone through tons of vegan restaurants where they make tofu super bomb, so I’m not gonna lie, I’ve had better tofu. Okay, I’m gonna try the risotto because I gotta try risotto. Okay, this is super creamy, it’s really flavorful, it’s really good. I really like it. I’m usually not a huge risotto person—the rice is a little hard—but I’m not a risotto connoisseur so I mean I can’t really give you the form really. But flavor-wise, I really like it. And last but not least, let’s try the beans in purgatory. Oh my gosh, I’m just gonna dip this right… oh, this actually looks really good with this cashew cream cheese. Yum. All right, it was really nice. I do like this a lot. Despite the name, it is not spicy at all—maybe it is for Gordon Ramsay but it’s not spicy for me. So if you’re not a huge spice person, that’s fine, you’ll be able to handle this. It’s a nice tomato flavor sauce and so the sauce is very playful and I really do appreciate the cashew cream cheese, it’s really good. So overall for the experience, I really think it’s worth coming to. It’s nice that the carnivorous Gordon Ramsay has a vegan tasting menu at one of his restaurants, right? So I think that’s nice and if you’re a fan, definitely come and check it out. There’s a bunch of other stuff on the menu; they also have dessert, they have a bunch of sides too, so I think it’s worth checking out for sure.

Sightseeing Interlude: The Bellagio Fountains

You’ll notice that walking around the Las Vegas Strip is an attraction in itself, but one must-see attraction are the Bellagio Fountains. More than a thousand fountains sway in front of the hotel enhanced by music and light. The display spans more than a thousand feet with water soaring as high as 460 feet into the air. You can see the show every 15 to 30 minutes depending on the day of the week and it’s absolutely breathtaking. It gets me every time.

Dumpling Feast at Din Tai Fung

But now it’s time for the best dumpling experience. Okay, a place you can always count on is in the Aria Hotel: it’s Din Tai Fung. Yes, there is now a location on the Vegas Strip and you can always count on them for vegan dumplings. It’s a Taiwanese dumpling house if you’ve never been to it, and there’s only a few chains in the United States so if you don’t have one in your state you definitely need to come try it out. These are my go-to orders: So you must get the string beans. Yes, you’re thinking it’s just a vegetable but you just need to order them anyway, they’re amazing. The way they flash fry is just great. I am obsessed with the spicy wontons; they are now vegan, they didn’t used to have them, so make sure to get the vegan wontons in the spicy sauce. The rice cakes, if you’ve never had rice cakes, it is delicious. They’re like this chewy texture that looks like that noodle, is amazing. And then of course as a starter, you can always enjoy the cucumber salad—the way they just like marinate these it’s just amazing. I encourage you to get all their vegetables like they just season them and cook them so well like you will happily eat them as an entree.

All right, string beans. Can never go wrong with string beans. And then of course you can always dip them in your little side sauce too if you want to add a little pizzazz. All right, the latest obsession: vegan wontons and spicy sauce. Oh, the flavor of the spicy sauce is literally amazing, takes it next level. Cheers. And then perfect timing, we now have the vegan dumplings. Amazing. These are always standard veggie dumplings, can’t go wrong. This is where these come in—the way I like to make it is one part vinegar, two parts soy sauce, and a generous amount of the chili oil. I always like to add some of the ginger on there. It’s always a feast here, make sure to make reservations because it gets packed. I’m just gonna keep eating all this, it is too good, so just make sure to check it out.

Dessert at Catch and A Detox Stop

After Din Tai Fung, you must walk over next door to Catch restaurant to try one of the best vegan desserts you’ll ever have. Their vegan pistachio cheesecake is amazing, and if they’re booked don’t worry, you can also order it to go. FYI, if you’re in Vegas you may need a day for a juice detox and healthy food, and that’s when The Juice Standard inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel comes in handy.

100% Vegan Cafe: Truth & Tonic

And speaking of healthy eating, one place you’ll have to make your way toward is the Venetian Hotel to try Truth and Tonic. So as of now, there is only one 100% vegan cafe on the Strip and it’s inside the Venetian Hotel; it’s called Truth and Tonic. You do have to be kind of a guest at the Venetian to be here but you can have access if you don’t stay here; it’s a little tricky, just find a security guard, they’ll let you know how to get here. It’s on the fourth floor of the hotel. The whole menu is vegan: they have bougie toast, pancakes, Just Egg frittatas, coffee. So I mean come hungry because it’s a nice healthy breakfast, especially if you’re going wild on the Strip you’ll probably want something pretty healthy. So I got the bougie avocado toast because it comes with cauliflower hummus and vegan feta, a salad, and of course you can’t go wrong with coffee with any plant-based milk you want. So let’s give this a try. I mean yes, it’s an avocado toast, I’m sure you guys are like “yeah whatever you can get anywhere,” but it is really nice and refreshing and flavorful. The cauliflower hummus is great. Like if you’re looking for a nice light healthy low-calorie meal, just purely plant-based, like honestly this is delicious. Like I’m really happy right now. Okay, so another bougie toast you can get has cashew butter and strawberries and like a grilled banana. It looks beautiful, so you can get savory and sweet. I’m going to start grilling bananas at home. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Street Food and Ice Cream at Resorts World

You must check out Resorts World. Beside the beautiful decor, at the time of this recording, Crossroads, the all-first vegan dining restaurant, was just about to open, so you know you need to go there. But you can also check out the food court through the casino that has vegan clay pot options, dumplings, and flaky paratha from Singapore. And don’t forget the ice cream from Craig’s Ice Cream.

Gordon Ramsay Burger Review

Next, I have to check out another Gordon Ramsay favorite. Okay, so now I’m at the famous Gordon Ramsay Burger. Again, if you’re a fan, this is another place that you can come by to try Gordon Ramsay’s food. He now has an all-vegan burger. Just from appearances, Gordon Ramsay, if you’re listening to this, I have a few things to say about your burger. The bun: I’m glad that the bun is vegan, but I do get a little FOMO because everybody else’s buns on the burgers look really nice. But I do really appreciate the garlic aioli because that’s amazing; normally you get dipped off any of the aiolis, right? So this is a plant-based patty, lettuce, and tomato. Give it a try. Okay Gordon, well done. It’s seasoned really well, the patty is really good, that garlic aioli and tomato taste delicious. I do just wish the bun was, you know, glazed and buttered a little bit more. And then of course, you can’t go wrong with fries. I got some extra garlic aioli on the side and it comes with two different kinds of ketchup also. It’s gonna you know, definitely worth trying. Do the burgers, you’ll enjoy it. It gets busy so just make sure to come early. Um yeah, I’m really enjoying it, I’m just gonna keep these things.

Sweet Treats at Ben & Jerry’s and Conclusion

And of course, I had to end on a sweet note. You can walk into the Miracle Mile Shops next door to enjoy the vegan flavors at Ben & Jerry’s.
